Unforgettable Experience Meeting Santa at the Rainforest Cafe

Every year, little man looks forward to meeting Santa. It is part of our family tradition and I will be devastated the day he stops believing in Santa. Fingers crossed it won’t happen soon!

Little man is now 8 years old and he has started questioning many things, such as how Santa manages to go around the world and delivers presents to every single child in only one night, how Santa comes to our house if we don’t have a chimney and how Santa knows what he wants for Christmas.

I must confess I was a little apprehensive about meeting Santa this year as I didn’t know whether little man would ask him any awkward questions. When I found out about the opportunity of meeting Santa at the Rainforest Cafe, I got very excited as I knew we would all have a wonderful time as we loved our previous visit to the Rainforest Cafe.

The magical experience Includes: a personalised invite from Santa Claus, a warm welcome from his elves on arrival, a personalised meeting with Santa Claus in his grotto, a Christmas gift and children’s 2 course meal and soft drink.

Once we arrived at the restaurant, we were truly immersed in the festive atmosphere. The rainforest animals are wearing christmas jumpers, Santa hats and festive scarves.

Little man noticed that even the little monkeys hanging from the ceiling have embraced the festive spirit. It has certainly made our experience even more special! We spent the whole day out at Winter Wonderland, so we were very hungry by time we arrived.

We started our meal with nachos, served with guacamole, sour cream, jalapenos and tomato salsa, topped with melted cheese and black beans. We also tried the meat feast combo, with wings in spicy sauce, pork ribs, crunch chicken and onion rings with honey mustard dip. Both starters were a success and we all enjoyed it!

For main course, hubby ordered chargrilled sirloin steak with prawns, served with mushrooms, tomato and rocket leaves. He had it with fries and peppercorn sauce and mentioned that his steak was beautifully cooked!

I tried the grilled salmon on new potatoes, served with cherry tomatoes, red pepper, green olives and courgette, in a creamy lemon butter sauce! It was full of flavour and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Little man went for chicken bites, served with green peas, sweetcorn and fries. He really liked his meal!

To finish off our meal, hubby and I decided to share the sparkling volcano, which is a combo of strawberry and vanilla ice cream, served with chocolate brownie bites and whipped cream, marshmallows, strawberry and banana. Little man went for chocolate and toffee sundae. We all enjoyed our sweet treats!

Once our experience was booked, we were sent a questionnaire with more information about little man, such as any special events, what he likes and what he would like for Christmas. I filled in with as much detail as possible, but I had no idea how Santa would incorporate it in.

As soon as we finished our meal, our elf greeted us at the table and took us to see Santa. Once we knocked on the door and walked in, Santa greeted little man by his name. Straight away, little man was very surprised and said “How do you know my name?”

Throughout the whole experience, Santa carried on mentioning everything that he knew about little man, what he got up to this year, what he is looking forward to and the surprises kept on coming. Little man’s face was priceless, he could barely believe that Santa knew everything about his life.

The personalised experience has definitely made little man believe even more in Santa and he can’t stop talking about meeting Santa and everything Santa mentioned about him.
