Slim.Fast 3-2-1 Plan: 2 Weeks Update
Hubby started following Slim.Fast 3-2-1 Plan two weeks ago, in case you haven’t read it yet, you can catch up on Slim Fast Day 1 blog post and also a week review written on Slim Fast 1 week update.
The great news is that hubby survived 2 weeks on Slim.Fast, he is so proud of himself for sticking to it and the results are amazing. Needless to say, as with any diet, it needs determination and commitment, you won’t just lose weight by looking at the shakes, you have to drink them, try and be more active and do your part.

I am pleased to say that hubby lost 3kgs on his first week and 1.5kg on his second week, so he lost a total of 4.5kgs in only two weeks, which is around 10 pounds!
In case you haven’t heard about the 3-2-1 Plan before, that’s how it works: you should follow an eating plan with 3 snacks, 2 Slim.Fast meals and 1 balanced meal.
He is very impressed with his weight loss (so am I) and he has decided to carry on using Slim.Fast to replace one meal a day for another week or so. You must be wondering what he ate during the past two weeks to lose so much weight, here is a sample:

Slim.Fast 3-2-1 Plan Daily Menu:
Breakfast: Slim.Fast Shake
Mid-morning snack: Slim.Fast Snack Bar
Lunch: Balanced Meal (around 600 calories)
Mid-afternoon: Piece of Fruit
Dinner: Slim.Fast Meal Bar or Shake
Snack after dinner: Slim.Fast Snack Bar
Since I wasn’t the one following the diet, I interviewed hubby and asked for his opinion on the Slim.Fast 3-2-1 Plan.
Q1. What do you think about the plan? Does it work?
Yes it works, I have lost a lot of weight and the plan is reasonably easy to follow. At the beginning, I found it hard to reduce my portions and struggled a bit, however I soon got used to eating smaller portions.
Q2. What have you learnt from the Slim.Fast Plan?
I have learnt that food won’t go away, that my portions were too big before and that I can survive on eating smaller portions. Slim.Fast opened my eyes to see how wrong my previous diet was, although I was having healthy food, I was having far too much of it.
Q3. How did you find following the Slim.Fast Plan? Any favourite products or tips?
Following the plan was not as hard as I thought it would be as you are able to eat 6 times a day and you can still have one normal meal at lunch or dinner. I chose to have a meal at lunchtime so I wouldn’t be so hungry in the afternoon. I prefer shakes to meal bars, I found that the meal bars didn’t fill me up, but the shakes blended with ice were quite satisfying. My tip would be to find your favourite shake flavour, blend it with ice and enjoy, you will be pleased with the results.

Q4. How do you feel now after two weeks?
I feel so much better, I tried yesterday a shirt that I couldn’t wear in years and it fits me now, I can’t believe it. I wish I had tried the Slim.Fast plan sooner as the results were amazing and I feel great.
Q5. What are the plans for the future?
I still have a few more pounds to lose until I reach my ideal weight, so I will replace one meal a day with Slim.Fast shakes for the next week or two. I will keep my portions small and stay active to lose the remaining weight.
