Unforgettable Family Holiday! #HolidayPostcards

Lately, I’ve been writing a lot about holidays, I lost count how many times I have mentioned that I love travelling and that I even see myself as Living as an Eternal Holiday. I always loved holidays – who doesn’t?!  – and there is nothing like creating Special Memories at Family Holidays.

My most memorable holiday has to be when we took our child to visit my family in Brazil for the very first time. I was a teenager when I moved to England, so it meant a lot going back home married with a child. Hubby had already been to Brazil once before, but it was the first time that our family would meet our child – it was a very emotional holiday!

Not only that, it was my first Christmas in Brazil since moving to the UK, after 7 years. How I missed being in a tropical country for Christmas and I was so happy to have our little family with me!

Our holiday was to Brazil, more specifically to Uberlandia-MG, in December 2010. Unfortunately we had some troubles leaving England due to the snow on the day we were meant to fly to Brazil. As a result, our flight was delayed and we nearly missed the opportunity to spend Christmas with them.

Although our holiday was shortened due to adverse weather conditions, we loved every second of it.  I loved introducing our child to my grandmother, to my parents, my brother, my uncles and aunties and my cousins. It felt great to go back home with my own family and celebrate such a special occasion together with them.

Whenever we look back at the pictures from our first holiday in Brazil with little man, it put a big smile on our faces. It was very different spending Christmas in a tropical country, drinking coconut water and swimming in the sunshine. We had an amazing time, truly special and unforgettable family holiday!
